Testimonials
Hear about the stories of past and present Lighthouse students!

I was a music student at Lighthouse for over ten years. It was there that I received a solid foundation in music. Because of that foundation I’ve had many opportunities in my life. Whether it be playing instruments in church, competing for school, or even writing my own music, it all started at Lighthouse. Not only did they give me the gift of music, but they also taught me how to use that gift for the Lord. If you’re looking for a place to grow your love of music, I highly recommend Lighthouse.
Brianna

Taking music lessons at Lighthouse Christian School was essential for my growth as a musician. While playing both piano and trombone, I cultivated a love for music and an appreciation for the work put in to master it. My teacher was Mr. Alan Carter and he invested in me more than I could ever repay him for. It was not just his vast array of musical knowledge and skill that shaped me into a better musician but it was also his love for Christ and his emphasis on playing for the Lord that influenced the way I play sacred music. His passion to write and play music t the highest standard for Christ really inspired me in my walk with the Lord, and in my ministry of music. Having role model like this and a mentor when it comes to music is absolutely crucial I believe to not only learning music, but also wanting to use it for the Lord. While I could have gotten an equally high standard of musical training with secular teachers, I would not have been pushed to use my skills for the Lord and would not have learned how to worship the Lord through it. I am truly grateful for this experience at Lighthouse because it made me develop the wonderful skills and taste of music.
Caleb

I have greatly profited from my time learning music at Lighthouse. I began learning piano 8 years ago and still currently take lessons. It is important to me to have a practical skillset in music, which I have undoubtedly received from Lighthouse. I use my education in piano to minister at my church, perform in fine arts competitions, and for recreation. I have continued to further my piano skills at Lighthouse to expand my abilities as far as possible. It has been a privilege to learn under the teachers at Lighthouse, and I endeavor to use the expertise shown to me for the Lord’s work.
Kailee

I have been taking piano lessons at Lighthouse Christian School for six years. I’ve enjoyed music ever since I was a little kid. Lighthouse gave me an opportunity to pursue my dreams. Not only am I being taught how to improve, but I have also been given a chance to provide that same opportunity to younger students. I look forward to continue my music journey and helping others in theirs at Lighthouse Christian School.
Caty

I have been a music student at Lighthouse Christian School for the past five years. It has been under the tutelage of Mr. Alan Carter that I have truly developed a love for the art and dedication that goes into playing. Slowly building up a solid foundation in music under Mr. Carter I have garnered a deep appreciation for the classical and Christian variety of instrumental music. Whether this music be used in church, at social events, or simply practicing at home it all originated from Lighthouse. This gift of music I have been taught to use has greatly strengthened my self-confidence and discipline over these few select years. If you’re looking for a place for your kids to learn music with a good Christian background, Lighthouse is the place for it.
